Hey, I’m

About Me
I love to make stuff. Whether it's a sermon or a song or a salad dressing, I find great joy in creating. I also love movement. On a bike. On a surfboard. On a run. I love the act of moving towards something. And I love being present. This looks like listening to the joys and pains of a friend, noticing God's hand in the mundane moments of life, and drinking coffee slowly with a book in my lap. Somehow God has woven these passions together in a way that has allowed me to create spaces for people to move toward becoming the person that God created them to be.

Although I grew up in Ventura, CA, I have spent the past decade falling in love with LA. I know there are haters out there. I'm not one of them. For school, I spent time in Bible classes and communications classes at Azusa Pacific University. I went back there to work with the campus ministry team for a few years and I also got a Master of Divinity while I was there. More than an education, those years provided space for me to learn a deep dependency on Jesus.
After seminary, I served on staff as a worship pastor at a church in LA for 5 years. I am currently working as a regional worship leader in Southern California. A few of my favorite things are surfing, cooking, cycling, pickleball, home dinners with friends from my community, and neighborhood walks with my wife Ciera. And for food, tacos. I mean, c'mon what were you expecting?
